ALHAJI ALIDU SEIDU, MCE FOR ASOKORE MAMPONG MUNICIPAL RANKED WORST PERFORMING MCE IN GHANA

The annual District and Municipal League table which seeks to rank the various districts and Municipalities all over the length and breadth of Ghana is a program that has been running over the years.

The 2019 League Table which was recently released did not fail in its mandate. In this year’s ranking, the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly and it’s MCE Alhaji Alidu Seidu were ranked worst performing among all the districts and Municipalities in Ghana.

The 2016 Parliamentary Candidate of the NPP who was rewarded with the position of MCE after his party won the 2016 election has in recent times been described incompetent for his position.

Talking to indigens of the Municipality with regards to this ranking, most of them exercised their disappointment in the MCE and his slacks in the various sectors of running the Municipal.

The security condition in the Municipal has deteriorated and led to the area becoming a safe haven for kidnappers and bad nuts. A lot of Assembly members informed us of how poorly the Municipality is been run.

MANAF IBRAHIM, DIRECTOR OF POLITICAL AFFAIRS AT THE PRESIDENCY DECLARES COMMITMENT TO RUN FOR ASAWASE CONSTITUENCY SEAT.

The former Ashanti Regional deputy secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party Manaf Ibrahim has on a Facebook post affirmed his commitment to run for the Asawase Constituency seat.

Manaf Ibrahim who currently is the Director of Political Affairs at the Presidency, in a Facebook post declared he is more than ready to contest the deep rooted NDC seat in Ashanti Region. The post read “ASAWASE CONSTITUENCY 2020!!! May Allah grant us Victory!!!”.

The young affable gentleman prior to the 2016 elections resigned his post as Deputy Secretary of the Region to contest in the primaries which he lost to the 2016 parliamentary candidate of the NPP in Asawase Alhaji Alidu Seidu who is the current MCE for Asokore Mampong Municipality.

Monitoring social media handles of Mr Manaf Ibrahim has shown his involvement in almost every activity that occurs in the Constituency. He comes to the contest with a lot of youthfulness and commitment to Human Development. Ahead of the 2016 elections, Manaf was instrumental in the uprise of the Chinkudi Movement an anti-corruption movement which saw the involvement of thousands of youth and the old at large with the aim of bringing to bare the crass corrupt activities of the erstwhile Mahama administration.

Manaf Ibrahim seeks to win his primary election within his party and work on unseating the Minority whip in parliament Alhaji Muntaka Mubarick. Should Manaf win his primary contest, Asawase would be an interesting Constituency to watch in the 2020 elections.

LOVE LETTER FROM SAMED KOOLI TO KWABRE EAST MCE AND MP FOR KWABRE EAST

Dear Nana Osei Asibey and Francisca Oteng Mensah,

I know I haven’t written to you both from the time you assumed office as MCE of Kwabre East Municipality and Member of Parliament for Kwabre East Constituency respectively. However permit me to address you both in this amorous letter of mine.

The Kwabre East vicinity has been an indigenous NPP enclave. Political analyst would tell you that the noise about Bantama being the world Bank of the NPP is neither here nor there comparing votes gained by the NPP between Bantama (51000) and Kwabre East. A simple fact check of the 2016 results indicates that a whooping 71000 and over votes were cast for both the Presidential candidate and MP.

Uncle Osei, when you were appointed DCE and then got a status upgrade to MCE, a lot of constituents thought there was going to be a facelift in the overall sectors of the Municipality. But today what do we see but deteriorating road network, worsening security condition and crass disregard of the ordinary Kwaberian. All your focus is on spending whooping sums of money on renovation of your bungalaow. Today our roads are unmotorable. You yourself if you had taken time to at least a day rolled down the tinted glasses of your car would have attested to the fact that even the road leading to your house is in a very bad condition. But glory be to God you ride in a sleek land cruiser with high definition shock absorbers so you never feel the bumpy ride we have to endure on our daily rounds on the road network in the Municipality.

Sister Francisca how is Parliament. I hope you have not been sleeping in the chamber like your predecessor. After putting up a rigorous campaign to win your primaries with circumstantial evidence of gifting delegates with goodies, some of us from the start knew you would perform no better than your predecessor. But we never envisaged a worse performance as we are witnessing now. I don’t know but it looks like you have become a great lover of Mark Zuckerberg by patronizing Facebook unrelentlessly. Instead of working on how to fix our roads, convince the President to remember his promise to constituents you are on Facebook hosting your all famous Y3nkasa which after several days of post receive not more than a dozen likes and comments. I am sorry but you have shown incompetence and insensitivity to the plight of your constituents. Last time I read you were advocating for condoms to be shared among SHS students. Well done Madam Adolescent Reproductive Health Counselor. Do you even know the accommodation situation of these students on the various campuses in the Constituency? Well you don’t care. Maame Serwaa remember your mandate next time iphones might not be able to make you win the seat as easily as you did.
